Amanda is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in Massachusetts and Rhode Island who graduated from Simmons University with her Masters in Social Work. Her experiences have included serving as a director of an early learning center, a case manager in the foster care system, and a school social worker in a behavioral school. She works with clients of all ages and provides individual, family and couples therapy. Amanda creates a therapeutic environment to support you in honoring your past, living in the present and imagining a more empowered future. She works collaboratively on setting goals for optimal outcomes and helping identify ways to manage current or long-standing challenges through a trauma sensitive approach. Most of her work has been with diverse and vulnerable populations with different people challenged by adversities and complex trauma through abuse, neglect or life events. She believes no challenge is too big or too small to seek support from someone who will be on your team through the journey.
