Emily is a licensed certified social worker in Massachusetts and Rhode Island who graduated from Rhode Island College from her graduate program where she was accepted in a grant program focusing on substance use and mental health disorders. Emily enjoys working with adults and utilizes different modalities rooted in the client centered and strength based approach, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness and grounding, as well as motivational interviewing. Emily has experience working at a PHP substance use recovery program as a primary therapist, where she facilitated therapy groups, focused on coping skills, trauma, lifestyle changes, and interpersonal relationships and has worked as a medical social worker. Emily intends to create a safe space where clients feel empowered, valued, and heard. She wants to continue to expand trauma informed care and certification in EMDR and IFS.
